Our practice occupies offices in Raritan that have seen three generations of family businesses.
Howes & Howes is the most recent link in a century-long chain of family businesses at 26 Anderson Street in Raritan. Originally, the family business operated on the street level, while the family lived upstairs. Kathy’s grandfather, Carmine operated both a neighborhood grocery store and an Italian Ice business that served Somerset County through the Great Depression and beyond. Kathy’s mother, Kate continued the family grocery. After the grocery, Kathy’s father, Tom operated a tire and battery shop until her mother opened an independent real estate brokerage in the 1960s. Howes & Howes opened in Raritan in 1992. In the family tradition, we have served the legal needs of Somerset and surrounding counties ever since.
